About the Owner

My name is Kim and I am the owner of Odon Gymnastics Academy.  I began gymnastics and dance at age 4 and by age 8, was competing gymnastics.  I came to Odon Gymnastics Academy at age 9.  I competed through Optional Level 8 in gymnastics.  My favorite event was uneven bars.  I joined the competitive tumbling and trampoline team competing as a member of the USTA and AAU at the age of 13 and competed at the advanced level on trampoline, double-mini trampoline and power tumbling.  I competed in 5 USTA Nationals and 5 AAU Junior Olympics.  I began coaching at age 15 helping the former owner with recreational classes and team.  When I graduated high school, I attended Vincennes University majoring in physical education and dance and was a member of the NJCAA Bowling Team attending multiple tournaments in the Midwest and 2 National bowling tournaments.  I transferred to Indiana University where I received my B.S. in Kinesiology and Dance Education.  I taught physical education at a private school for 2 years and worked as a teaching assistant at a public school but found that I missed coaching gymnastics.  I returned to coaching and took over as owner of Odon Gymnastics in 2013.  I love coaching gymnastics - my favorite event to coach is tumbling.

I am married to a teacher/beef farmer.  We have a 6 year old daughter and 5 year old little boy who keep us busy and 2 dogs and 2 cats.  I raise rabbits as a hobby.  I still bowl and enjoy attending tournaments from time to time.
