Our coaching staff brings years of experience working with athletes of all ages, skill levels, and abilities. Each coach is committed to providing a positive and safe learning environment. All coaches have successfully completed background checks and are Safesport certified, NGA safety certified, and trained in concussion awareness and first aid. We are passionate about helping every athlete reach their potential.
My gymnastics journey began at age 3 at Shirley Keith Dance Studio. I started my competitive career at age 8 with Indiana Gymnastics Training School before joining Odon Gymnastics Academy at age 10. Throughout my competitive years, I competed in both USA Gymnastics and the Ohio Valley Gymnastics Conference, as well as Tumbling & Trampoline through USTA. I qualified and competed in 5 National Championships and 5 Junior Olympics Championships in Tumbling and Trampoline. I completed my gymnastics career at age 18 as a USAG Level 8 Optional gymnast and Advance/Elite Tumbling and Trampoline competitor.
I began coaching at age 14 under the mentorship of Jackie Dixon and have now accumulated more than 30 years of coaching experience. While attending Indiana University, where I studied Kinesiology and Dance Education, I also coached at Bloomington United Gymnastics. In 2013, I became owner of Odon Gymnastics and have continued to build on the gym's strong tradition while incorporating current training methods and skill progressions. My favorite event to coach is tumbling and I enjoy helping athletes of all ages develop a lifelong love for the sport.
